THE DETERMINANTS OF INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND THE RESTRICTIONS TO THE INSERTION OF THE DEVELOPING COUNTRIES - A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS IN SOUTH AMERICA, AFRICA AND SOUTH OF ASIA
This research had like general goal to identify the determinants of the international tourism flow, seeking diagnostic the main restrictions to the expansion of this sector in the countries in development, utilizing a comparative analysis for the regions of the South America, Africa and South of the Asia. To be specified the determinants of the international tourism flow, was applied the econometrics instrumental, aiming to establish its empirical evidence. In the analysis was utilized the panel model because it´s shown adequate to the objective of identify the prominent factors of generalized form. Furthermore, this paper discuss the performance of the countries of the South America, Africa and South of Asia in the international tourism, with base in the determinant specified, seeking identify the empirical coherence of these general determinants in case of these countries and comparing the specificities and homogeneity between these regions, constituted by countries in development. The result of the study aims that the income is a fundamental determinant for explain the emission of tourists and there are indications of an elevated elasticity, what is translated in empirical coherence. Referring to the tourism attractive, we found the relevant paper of the risk related to the security and of the development of the country, identified through of the Human Development Index - HDI. The comparative analysis between the regions of the South America, Africa and South of the Asia, showed that the performance of these countries show consistency with the general determinants, in function of their conditions, for example, their geographic distance from the rich countries.
Stochastic Models and Adaptive Algorithms for Energy Balance in Sensor Networks
We consider the important problem of energy balanced data propagation in wireless sensor networks and we extend and generalize previous works by allowing adaptive energy assignment. We consider the data gathering problem where data are generated by the sensors and must be routed toward a unique sink. Sensors route data by either sending the data directly to the sink or in a multi-hop fashion by delivering the data to a neighbouring sensor. Direct and neighbouring transmissions require different levels of energy consumption. Basically, the protocols balance the energy consumption among the sensors by computing the adequate ratios of direct and neighbouring transmissions. An abstract model of energy dissipation as a random walk is proposed, along with rigorous performance analysis techniques. Two efficient distributed algorithms are presented and analyzed, by both rigorous means and simulation. The first one is easy to implement and fast to execute. The protocol assumes that sensors know a-priori the rate of data they generate. The sink collects and processes all these information in order to compute the relevant value of the protocol parameter. This value is transmitted to the sensors which individually compute their optimal ratios of direct and neighbouring transmissions. The second protocol avoids the necessary a-priori knowledge of the data rate generated by sensors by inferring the relevant information from the observation of the data paths. Furthermore, this algorithm is based on stochastic estimation methods and is adaptive to environmental change
The aim of the paper is to discuss, on the light of data collected from 162 full-time public school teachers in Paraiba, didactic challenges in the construction of teaching practices from the perspective of Integral Education. The analytical treatment of the data was guided by the technique of Categorical Content Analysis. The innovative and paradigm-breaking pedagogical discourse associated with Integral Education is crossed by challenges and gaps that distance teachers from a pedagogical practice integrative. To this objective, the Didactic should mobilize alternative ways of conceiving and organizing teaching inspired by inventiveness, collaboration and social quality of learning.
Climate change adaptation measures in the irrigation of a super-intensive olive orchard in the south of Portugal
The south of Portugal is one of the regions that will be most affected by the impacts of
climate change (CC), with an expected increase in water scarcity. Irrigated super-intensive olive
orchards occupy a large area of the used agricultural surface in the Alentejo region, south of Portugal,
making it necessary to adapt this crop to the effects of CC. This study assessed the impacts of CC
and defined adaptation measures concerning irrigation management of the super-intensive olive
orchard. To compute the crop irrigation requirement (CIR), the soil water balance model ISAREG
was combined with climate data relative to the reference period 1971–2000 and to the representative
concentration pathways RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 for the periods 2011–2040, 2041–2070, and 2071–2100.
The growing degree-days (GDD) approach was used to estimate olive phenology for these CC
scenarios. Unchanged irrigation management with an average CIR increase up to 16% in RCP4.5 and
31% in RCP8.5 is expected. By adopting higher levels of water deficit, water savings of up to 22%
can be realized. The results showed that the anticipated CIR increase for the CC scenarios can be
mitigated through regulated deficit irrigation strategiesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Concepts and experiments on psychoanalysis driven computing
This research investigates the effective incorporation of the human factor and user perception in text-based interactive media. In such contexts, the reliability of user texts is often compromised by behavioural and emotional dimensions. To this end, several attempts have been made in the state of the art, to introduce psychological approaches in such systems, including computational psycholinguistics, personality traits and cognitive psychology methods. In contrast, our method is fundamentally different since we employ a psychoanalysis-based approach; in particular, we use the notion of Lacanian discourse types, to capture and deeply understand real (possibly elusive) characteristics, qualities and contents of texts, and evaluate their reliability. As far as we know, this is the first time computational methods are systematically combined with psychoanalysis. We believe such psychoanalytic framework is fundamentally more effective than standard methods, since it addresses deeper, quite primitive elements of human personality, behaviour and expression which usually escape methods functioning at “higher”, conscious layers. In fact, this research is a first attempt to form a new paradigm of psychoanalysis-driven interactive technologies, with broader impact and diverse applications. To exemplify this generic approach, we apply it to the case-study of fake news detection; we first demonstrate certain limitations of the well-known Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type method, and then propose and evaluate our new method of analysing user texts and detecting fake news based on the Lacanian discourses psychoanalytic approach. This publication is part of the Spanish I+D+i project TRAINERA (ref. Bullying no ambiente escolar e seus reflexos na aprendizagem das crianças e adolescentes
The goal of this search is to do people fight against the violence inside and
outside of school life, in helping with teachers, searching answers of a problem that
comes disturbing children, teens and young people. Bullying is coming a world
problem, can happen in any place where people are inside, specially at school.
Bullying today is considered a phenomenal that comes physiological consequences
and pedagogic, for children, teens, young like for your family. In front of violence,
bullying come with itself another changes of behavior. Beyond emotions problems,
under yield during their school life, he can be making bad adults, cruels and violents.
Thus, that when We choice this theme, we search many scientists that talk about the
theme, they give us the concepts and started of this point, we can look that bullying is
present a lot inside of the class and outside it, that affect the teach and learnt of child,
and with that it criate mental problems and behavior problems, making that people
vulnerable to the any way of hurt.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo, incentivar as pessoas a lutarem
